FITZ’S FISH PONDS & POLO REEF WIN GRAND CHAMPION AT ALL AMERICAN KOI SHOW IN LAS VEGAS!

The inaugural All American Koi Show held in Las Vegas March 23rd and 24th was an incredible experience for all koi hobbyists that attended and showed koi, but it was extremely special for Fitz’s Fish Ponds’ customer, Andrew Sandler of Polo Reef. Earlier this year Andrew reached out to the FFP and Koi Trips team while in Japan and sourced one of the most beautiful Kohaku the team has brought back to the US.
The winning koi, named Jennifer Aniston, is an 89 cm female Kohaku from Dainichi koi farm with full body and sharp coloring. AJ Mandell, Director of Koi Sales and Brian Fitzsimmons, CEO, knew that she had the potential to be a winner from the minute they spotted her. Andrew also consulted many experts and did extensive research on the fishes qualities as well.
Kosuke Saito from Shintaro Koi Farm and Tim Waddington from Quality Nishikigoi, also a part of the Koi Trips team, flew in to attend the show and see how the koi would do as well. The team is extremely excited and proud to have won Grand Champion and will divulge more about growing and sourcing the Grand Champion in a full article in the July/August issue of PONDTrade. Be on the look out! In addition to the Grand Champion, the most prestigious award, Sandler & his wife also won Best in Size 6, A Ginrin Size 6, Kawari Size 4, Asagi Size 6 and Kujaku Size 5.
